Police in Omaha, Council Bluffs investigate overnight robberies

Police in Omaha and Council Bluffs are working to solve a string of overnight robberies, all with a suspect of similar description.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Police in Omaha and Council Bluffs are working to solve a string of overnight robberies, all with a suspect of similar description.

Just after 3:30 a.m., a heavy-set man held up the Walgreens at 25th and West Broadway. A little over 30 minutes later, the Kwik Shop at 33rd and Q was robbed. A few minutes after that, the QT gas station at 60th and L also was robbed.

Police have not said the incidents are related. But, in each case, the robber was described as heavy-set, 275-300 pounds, wearing a black shirt and shorts and armed with a handgun.
