Omaha Police give details about overnight ‘help an officer’ call

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Police released new details in an incident that led to a “help an officer” call early Wednesday.

At about 3:30 a.m., police were called to a domestic violence fight near 21st and Vinton. As officers were at the scene, the suspect, Kevin Guerra-Trinidad, 22, fired a gun, and police called for help, according to OPD.

It is believed the gunfire was accidental. Guerra-Trinidad dropped the gun and surrendered. He was booked into jail on a long list of charges, including domestic violence, terroristic threats, felony child abuse and obstruction.
