David’s Evening Forecast - Staying warm and humid for the weekend
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A pleasant July day for much of the area, temperatures started off in the 60s this morning, warming into the 80s for the afternoon and evening. Patchy clouds will thin out for the evening, with quiet conditions expected for any Friday evening plans. Expect temperatures to be in the 80s through 9pm, with a little humidity in the air. Overnight lows will fall back into the middle 60s with partly cloudy skies.
Saturday will be very similar to Friday, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the middle 80s. We’ll be watching for a few showers or storms Saturday night into Sunday morning over central Nebraska. A few of those showers may make it as far east as Columbus and Norfolk over to Fremont and Lincoln, but will likely remain just west of Omaha. We will see a few more clouds on Sunday, keeping temperatures in the low 80s for most of the area. A little more sun on Monday will push us back into the middle 80s.
Hot and humid weather really takes over for next week, with highs climbing into the upper 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday. A bit of a heatwave is expected to develop by the end of the week, with highs in the low to mid-90s expected Thursday through at least Saturday or Sunday. Dry weather is expected for the week, with any rain chances holding off until next weekend.
