Brett Lindstrom announces run for Nebraska governor
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Another Republican candidate has thrown his name into the hat to become Nebraska’s next governor.
Nebraska native Brett Lindstrom held a rally Thursday evening at Buildertrend announcing his candidacy. Organizers told 6 News that they estimated about 150 people were in attendance.
No stranger to politics, he currently represents Dist. 18 in the Unicameral. The self-described fiscal conservative worked as a financial advisor before running for state senate.
The gubernatorial hopeful outlined his plans to fix Nebraska’s high property taxes, boost education opportunities for children across the state, and grow Nebraska through innovation and equal internet access for all families. He said he also has the backs of all healthcare workers.
His announcement comes about three months after Falls City farmer and Nebraska agri-businessman Charles Herbster announced his run for the office. A close friend of President Trump, Herbster’s announcement prompted a visit by Campaign Manager and Adviser Kellyanne Conway.
