Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - Warm & humid with spotty storms and downpours likely
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Warmth and humidity will be the story today and the vast majority of the week but fortunately nothing dangerously hot is expected. We’ll have to watch for storms firing up later on today after 2pm into the evening hours. They’ll be very random in nature but could easily lead to downpours.
Spotty storms that meander through the area late this afternoon and evening will lead to downpours but likely won’t be severe. The biggest threat will be those downpours and frequent lightning. Impacts and delays to the 1st game of the championship series of the CWS are very much in play.
Storms will likely fade some with the setting sun and the overnight hours will be much calmer but likely not perfectly dry. A few more showers and storms are then possible Tuesday as well. They’ll be very hit and miss and likely won’t be nearly as widespread as Monday either. Highs in the 80s are then likely right into the middle of the week.
