Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - Widely scattered showers and storms bring more rain to the area today.
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The morning starts with humid conditions and temps near 70 degrees. You’ll notice a lot of moisture in the air the moment you step outside. Highs today will get a chance to make it into the mid 80s in these muggy conditions. Light southeast breeze at 5-15 mph.
Watch for spotty showers and storms developing again this afternoon and evening. They won’t be nearly as widespread as the last couple rounds and should lead to brief bouts of rain & downpours at worst. There is a small chance of a severe storm with some hail and wind as well but the worst of the severe should stay to our south.
That means we could have some brief impacts to either College World Series game but likely won’t have a complete washout.
A few more showers and storms are possible overnight heading into Saturday morning too. Again, nothing widespread is likely but some downpours are possible.
More hit and miss showers and storms will be in the area during the morning and afternoon Saturday leading to another day that could be impacted by some downpours. I’m not expecting any severe weather Saturday.
Some more spotty showers and storms are possible again Sunday afternoon and evening as well.
