Fun fact, there are four warships named after the Big O. Reported by the U.S. Department of Defense, “the first ship was a propeller-driven sloop-of-war. The second ship was a light cruiser, and the third Omaha was an attack submarine.”

According to an Associated Press article by U.S. Sen. Deb Fischer, the new USS Omaha was commissioned in San Diego, California in 2018.

There are three leaders on this ship. The leaders are Commanding Officer, CDR RJ Zamberlan, Executive Officer, Lt. Commander Phillip Lundberg, and Command Senior Chief, CMDCS Albert Torres.
