OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - While we won’t be record breaking hot today, we are still expecting highs in the lower to mid 90s.

Something else we’ll be watching for is the development of any new showers or storms following the round we had this morning. Some spotty pop ups wouldn’t surprise me this afternoon, especially SE of the metro. A few of those could be on the strong side. Of course, we’ll take any rain we can get, and some rain cooled air would be nice.

We have lots going on over the weekend. It’s the start of the College World Series, and Father’s Day. Just isolated chances for a storm on Saturday. If there are any rain delays at the CWS it will be because the ball park ends up in the lucky 20%. Father’s Day could bring a few more showers or storms. There’s a small chance in the morning, then it looks like a break, and a few more in the evening.

The strong cold front is set to come in with those rain chances on Sunday and knock our highs down in to the 70s for Monday to near 80 on Tuesday, and lows will fall to near 50 Tuesday morning.
