Mallory’s Evening Forecast - Another hot week of weather ahead!
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - It’s been a warm, but overall pleasant, mid-June weekend across the Heartland. Highs topped out in the 80s and 90s with overnight lows in the 50s and 60s. There was hardly a cloud in sight each day with winds remaining light and low humidity making the heat bearable.
Clouds will gradually increase Sunday night, with temperatures dropping into the mid-60s. Clouds will then gradually decrease throughout the day Monday, as highs climb back into the low to mid-90s.
Several models are hinting at isolated storms late Monday evening and Monday night, primarily west of the Omaha Metro – so we’ll be watching that trend for you.
More sunshine and 90s return Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs approaching the triple digits by Thursday! Storm chances increase Thursday night, with temperatures falling back near 90° for Friday.
Thankfully in time for the CWS, highs look to cool back off into a more seasonable range with temperatures in the 80s. However, with the ridge breaking down, that will give us more chances for rain in the extended forecast as well. We’ll be tracking the radar and any storm chances as we head into Father’s Day and through the College World Series!
