Mallory’s Forecast Update - Pleasant Sunday morning! Back in the 90s this afternoon.
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - After some much-needed rainfall Friday, we’re drying things back out for the weekend!
It was a very pleasant start to the day Saturday, with temperatures ranging from the mid-50s to the lower-60s and much lower humidity. This low humidity (dew points in the 40s and 50s) will stick with us for the weekend.
However, when the air is dry, it’s easier to heat up! Sunny skies allowed temperatures to soar back into the upper-80s Saturday afternoon as a result. Light winds from the NNE made for a very pleasant June day. Clear and seasonable conditions took us into Saturday night, with temperatures dropping back into the 50s and lower-60s with light and variable winds.
Sunshine returns Sunday, with lower-90s back in the forecast. Winds will be light, from the SSW 5-10 mph. Humidity may not be quite as low as Saturday, but dew points in the 50s are still very comfortable! The UV Index will be “Very High” yet again with a forecast of 10. Keep the sunscreen and shades handy.
The 90s stick around for the upcoming workweek, with mostly dry skies. Our best chance for isolated showers and storms moves in Thursday, early and late in the day. Behind this rain chance, temperatures should drop from the upper-90s Thursday to the upper-80s near 90° Friday. Highs in the 80s look likely for Father’s Day weekend and the first few days of the College World Series.
