OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - In a Friday night release, police have identified the person with the forearm tattoo.

They identified the victim as Cornail Hill, 15. Earlier on Friday, OPD posted a photo of a forearm tattoo on social media in hopes that the public could help identify the victim of a shooting that was reported at 2:19 a.m. Thursday near 33rd Street and Laurel Avenue.

Police told 6 News at the scene that the young man was walking by himself when a car drove by, and that several shots were fired from inside the car. The Facebook post was the second call for public assistance with the case.

Omaha Police looking for a vehicle they say is connected to a fatal shooting that happened early Thursday, June 10, 2021.

Overnight, OPD put out a request for help identifying a car that was possibly involved in the homicide.

The car is described as a gold or tan four-door 2006-2009 Ford Fusion or Mercury Milan. Police say the image showing the back of the car is distorted to show that there are no markings on the trunk area. The image also shows it has a sunroof.

Anyone with information on the vehicle is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
