Police investigate two shootings in north Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Police are looking into two shootings that happened within an hour from each other.

Officers responded to the scene of a shooting reported at the scene of a car crash in north Omaha AT 5:54 p.m. Tuesday. Police said four people were injured but they were only able to confirm one had been shot. One of the four had injuries considered life threatening.

They were called to 31st Avenue & Larimore Avenue for a crash and a shooting.

The second shooting was first reported as happening at 19th & Binney but police later clarified it was at 18th and Binney. It was reported at 7:12 p.m. Douglas County dispatch confirmed for 6 News that a 13-year-old was shot in the head.

The child was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition. OPD was working to find out if the shootings are related.
