Rusty’s Morning Forecast - Summer heat wins again today with a very small rain chance
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Tuesday’s weather appears to be very similar to what we saw Monday with a high again in the lower 90s. Similar dew points produce the same level of humidity as well. The only difference is the small 20% chance of a T-shower after 3pm mainly on the Iowa side. Take whatever rain you can get today as the 10 day forecast look incredibly dry.
I expect us to be a little warmer both Wednesday & Thursday with highs that will make it into the mid 90s. Dew points in the 60s won’t cause the heat index values to jump too much either day and they’ll likely stay below 100 degrees.
The best rain chance we have in the next 10 days arrives Friday morning in the form of a line of rain and storms. It is possible that we get some wind gusts out of this but widespread severe weather is not expected at this time. Right now it looks like most of the rain totals likely stay below 1″ due to the fast movement of this system. Right now rain and storms look to be in the 7am to 2pm window Friday with some impacts to the morning drive.
Hopefully we can get some widespread soaking rain from this because the 10 day forecast look very dry aside from this.
