Omaha Police release more details on suspects in shooting that left two teens dead
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Police gave more details about the suspects they’re looking for after a shooting Thursday led to the death of two 17-year-olds.
Lerajai Key, 17, and Terrance Moore, 16, are wanted in connection with the shooting deaths of Javondre McIntosh, 17, and Jiaquan Williams, 17, who were found Thursday with gunshot wounds in the 29th and Bristol area. Both victims were taken to Nebraska Medical Center. Williams succumbed to his injuries Thursday, and McIntosh died Saturday.
OPD are asking the public for help in their search for Key and Moore. Police said Moore is the suspected shooter, and that Key is wanted for accessory to murder.
Anyone with information about the suspects or their vehicle is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP (7867) at p3tips.com or via the P3 Tips mobile app.
Both are on the run — and have been for months, police said. Moore left the Nebraska probation office’s radar in February, the same day he was supposed to start at a school for at-risk teens in Arizona. Key skipped juvenile court over a charge of defacing a firearm, police said.
Investigators have also been trying to track down a possible suspect vehicle that was seen Thursday in the area of the shooting. The vehicle appears to be a 2017 or 2018 model Ford Escape SUV.
