Mallory’s Forecast Update - Staying hot and breezy through the weekend
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The hot start to June continues right into the weekend! After topping out at 94° in Omaha Friday, temperatures struggled to cool below 70° in the Metro Saturday morning.
Plentiful sunshine and a stronger SSW wind heated highs back into the low to mid-90s Saturday afternoon. You’ll likely be able to feel the humidity a bit more this weekend as dew points rise into the 60s.
Mostly clear skies took us into Saturday night, with lows dropping into the mid to upper-60s.
After a sunny start, we will see more clouds around Sunday afternoon - increasing from the south. Because of this, high temperatures should be a few degrees “cooler”, likely in the upper-80s. Lower-90s are still possible north of the Metro. Southerly winds could gust 25 to 30 mph.
Above-average highs in the 90s, with overnight lows in the upper-60s and lower-70s, will take us through next week. There will be variable cloud cover, with an isolated chance for a shower or storm through the workweek.
At this time, our best chance for rain arrives Thursday night into Friday morning.
