Huskers beat Northeastern 8-6 in Fayetteville regional, Arkansas up next

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Huskers come back to outscore Northeastern 8-2 over the final five innings to advance in the Fayetteville regional. Nebraska will face the overall number one seed in college baseball tomorrow Arkansas.

The Huskies touched up Huskers ace Cade Povich for four earned runs in three and third innings. The bullpen took over from there and did a fine job.

Cam Chick started the come back with a three-run home run in the fourth inning, that pulled Nebraska to within a run at 4-3. Cam was 1-2 with two runs and three RBIs. From there the Huskers tacked on a run in the fifth, three in the sixth and another run in the seventh inning.

The decision goes to Koty Frank who took over for Povich in the fourth inning. Frank threw three and two-thirds, he did give up two runs. Spencer Schwellenbach picked up the save, a five-out save going one and two thirds.
