MASON, Ohio (WOWT) - Creighton lost two games on Saturday, which knocked it out of the BIG EAST conference tournament and ended its 2021 season.

The first game was a 2-0 loss to top-seeded Connecticut, a game originally scheduled for Friday but was pushed back due to rain.

The Bluejays, as the two seed, then moved to an elimination game against Xavier.

CU scored in the first inning when Alan Roden hit an RBI double.

UConn tied it up and took the lead in the third inning off of a balk.

That made it 2-1 and the score stayed that way for the remainder of the game.

Creighton finishes the season at 24-15.
