Mallory’s Weekend Forecast - Staying cool with greater rain chances Sunday
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Saturday started off with sunny skies and chilly temperatures. Morning lows dropped into the 40s in eastern Nebraska, with some 30s in western Iowa! Sunshine warmed temperatures into the 60s for the afternoon, before clouds moved back in from the west and thickened up.
A few sprinkles are possible this evening, though most of us should stay dry – outside of far northeastern Nebraska. Mostly cloudy skies stick with us overnight, with lows dropping to around 50°.
A greater coverage of scattered showers will move in from northwest to southeast Sunday morning and afternoon. This will keep high temperatures back in the lower-60s for most of us. We should get some dry time in here by Sunday evening and overnight.
Another surge of moisture will move in from the south Monday morning. We’ll hold a chance for light scattered showers Monday morning into the early afternoon, primarily for areas south of I-80. Conditions should dry out mid-afternoon into the evening, with highs in the Metro around 70°.
Outside of spotty rain chances both Tuesday and Wednesday, we are looking to dry out next workweek. Temperatures will be on the rise as well, with highs back in the 80s by Thursday. 90° is possible next weekend!
