David’s Evening Forecast - Few showers south tonight. Sunshine returns Thursday!
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - To continue with the trend this week, Wednesday was yet another cloudy, cool, and gloomy day! Temperatures ranged from the mid-30s to the lower-40s, with some morning fog and mist.
We are on the northernmost edge of the low pressure system that is triggering severe weather across the Deep South. For us, our southernmost counties may see a few rain showers this evening, but thankfully we’re not dealing with any severe weather (or winter weather!).
Cloudy skies will stick around overnight with lows around freezing. Winds will kick up tonight and into the day Thursday, with gusts up to 35 mph.
Clouds gradually decrease throughout the day Thursday with some sunshine finally returning! Highs will top out around 50° Thursday afternoon.
Mostly sunny skies are in store Friday, with highs in the mid-50s. Temperatures will warm into the the lower-60s this weekend! Sunshine returns Saturday, but clouds will increase Sunday before our next rain chance.
Showers move in by Sunday night, with a chance for rain sticking with us through Wednesday morning. The return of showers and a few storms will knock high temperatures back into the 50s through much of next workweek. Due to last weekend’s heavy rainfall event and our saturated ground, we’ll have to keep an eye on this next system for any flooding concerns.
