Music in Catholic Schools Benefit Dance and Silent Auction

Music in Catholic Schools will hold a Benefit Dance and Silent Auction on Friday, February 1, 2013, 7:30-10:30 pm, St. Robert Parish Center,11802 Pacific ST, with music by the Swingtones. Free dance instruction is 6:15-7:15 pm. Tickets at the door for $15 each. Funds raised enable students with need to participate in band at their school. Music in Catholic Schools is a parent pay band program in 25 Catholic and 4 Lutheran grade schools in the Omaha metro area. Outside income earned enables students with financial need to participate in band at their school.

Embassy Suites La Vista
“Every Movement is a Milestone” is the theme for this year’s University Hospital Auxiliary Kaleidoscope event.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 9 at the La Vista Conference Center. Nelson and Linda Gordman are the honorary chairs for the event.
Kaleidoscope is an annual, philanthropic event organized by the University Hospital Auxiliary. The evening includes a dinner and silent auction. During the program, the Honorary Kaleidoscope Award will be presented.
Funds raised at the event will benefit the new Lifestyle Rehabilitation Center. This center will focus on promoting independence for patients of all ages who experience chronic and progressive debilitating conditions. Rehabilitation experts, including physical and occupational therapists, work collaboratively with patients to develop individualized plans utilizing state-of-the-art therapies and equipment. For those recovering from stroke, transplant, cancer, orthopedic injury as well as those who are living with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis or a developmental delay... every movement is a milestone.
UHA Board President is Gerri Plautz. The event co-chairs are Nancy Gordon, Janette Garvin and Angie Thorell. Tickets can be purchased by calling Volunteer Services at The Nebraska Medical Center at 402-559-4150.
