A Lincoln native and 1977 Journalism graduate of UNL, Mike has 30 years reporting experience at WOWT -- 10 years of that as State Bureau Chief.
There have been numerous awards along the way including Nebraska Associated Press Investigative and General News honors. Mike is a two-time winner of the Radio Television News Directors Regional award for investigative reporting: 1994,1997.
