Maniko Barthelemy, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, joined the WOWT team in January 2006.
Maniko received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland in Journalism.
While attending the University of Maryland, Maniko interned at Dateline NBC in Washington, D.C. the local FOX affiliate, and Maryland Public Television.
Maniko began her journalism career as a general assignment reporter in Landover, MD at The Gazette, a weekly newspaper.
Maniko then moved on to television as a general assignment reporter at CTV in Largo, MD.
During her three years there, Maniko was a reporter, talk show host and enterprised the station's first monthly health segment "Healthy Living", which focused on medical issues that effect women.
Her journalism awards include The Gazette Editor's Award (2003).
When she's not working, Maniko likes to shop, travel, spend time with her family and eat.
