Brian Mastre can be seen weekdays co-anchoring FirstNEWS Live at Four on Channel 6.

He grew up across Iowa--Storm Lake, Milford, Marshalltown--and calls Clear Lake home.

Brian graduated with a Speech Communications: Radio/TV degree from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota.

Before coming to Omaha, he worked as the evening news anchor at KIMT in Mason City, Iowa.

Brian has received numerous awards including 5 regional RTNDA Edward R. Murrow plaques for Investigative Reporting, Writing, News Series and Sports Reporting. In 2001, Brian was honored with a national Murrow award for a story about an aging softball team.

He lives in Omaha with his wife and son.
