Ann McIntire officially joined the WOWT team in November of 2007, but had worked with the station as an intern for more than two years.
She spent her senior year learning the ways of the news industry, first by interning in the promotions department, and then with the news, here at Channel Six.
After graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Ann continued working with WOWT’s sister station, before becoming the weekend morning news producer for WOWT.
Ann moved into her current position of reporter and weekend evening news producer in June of 2008. She says she loves the job because she gets to experience the best of both worlds. Producing is her first love in the news industry but she also enjoys going out into the community as a reporter.
Ann grew up in Harlan, Iowa, and has spent her entire life in the Midwest. She enjoys being able to work for the news station she grew up watching.
In her spare time, Ann loves shopping, golfing, and traveling, especially to cities like Chicago and Los Angeles.
