Malorie Maddox is co-anchor of the evening newscasts on WOWT.

Malorie was also selected as one of the “Ten Outstanding Young Omahans” in 2005 for her leadership and volunteer work in the community. Malorie was also featured in “Omaha Magazine.”
Malorie started working at WOWT in 2004. She served as co-anchor on Live at Daybreak and as a Consumer Investigator for Six On Your Side. She came from Joplin, Missouri where she was the main anchor for KODE. Before that, Malorie worked for KAKE in Wichita, KS. While at KAKE, Malorie won a Kansas Area Broadcasters Award for her undercover work on the investigative series “Bad Judgment.”
Malorie recently got the chance to do a behind-the-scenes look at “Jeopardy.” She traveled to LA to feature an Omaha firefighter on the show. She also hosted three 30-minute behind-the-scenes shows at WOWT. The first one featured the Broadway production of “The Lion King.” Malorie also hosted a behind-the-scenes show featuring “Phantom of the Opera” and a local behind-the-scenes look at Les Miserables at the Omaha Community Playhouse.
Malorie is an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness. In Joplin she founded a program called Buddy Check 12, which raised more than $15,000 for breast cancer treatments and programs and is still going today.
Storytelling is her passion. Malorie loves when viewers send her story ideas. Her stories all fall under, ‘It’s Personal.” She believes every person’s story is important and feels it is an honor to be asked each one of them.
Malorie is a graduate of the University of Kansas. She lives in West Omaha with her husband, Greg and their son.
