She was born and raised in northern California. After graduating from high school, she spent two years pursuing a business degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. However, Jacki quickly realized business was not where her heart was. That’s when she transferred to the University of Denver to begin her career in journalism.
While in college, Jacki interned at KUSA-TV in Denver and at KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs. Shortly after graduating from college, Jacki took a reporter job at KRCR-TV in Redding, California.
It was in Redding where Jacki fell in love with the world of broadcast journalism. Her enthusiasm for each project assigned has provided her with many opportunities, everything from running into a burning building with fire fighters, to producing and anchoring weekend newscasts, to telling the stories of everyday people. While in Omaha, Jacki hopes to be the kind of journalist people want to talk to, who trust her to tell their story.
When she’s not working, Jacki can be seen walking her dog, Butters, researching the latest health food craze or jamming out to music in her car.
