Irving Falu had three of Omaha's 21 hits with four RBIs and the Storm Chasers scored in all but two innings on their way to an 11-5 win over Round Rock Friday night at Werner Park.
The Express took a 2-0 lead in the second on Ryan Spilborghs’ single and Julio Borbon’s sixth home run of the year. The Storm Chasers tied it in the home second as Salvador Perez singled and Anthony Seratelli homered, his 10th of the season.
Leonys Martin led off the third with a home run to give Round Rock a 3-2 lead. The Storm Chasers went ahead 4-3 in the home third on a Derrick Robinson double, Chris Getz triple and Wil Myers single. Max Ramirez led off the fourth with a double, took third on a ground out to second and later scored on a bunt single by Getz to make it 5-3.
Omaha made it 7-3 in the fifth inning. Perez and Tony Abreu singled and advanced to second and third on a ground out before Falu singled both men home.
With two outs in the sixth, Luis Martinez tripled and Tommy Mendonca homered for Round Round to cut the deficit to 7-5. The Storm Chasers responded in the home sixth with another pair of runs. Myers tripled and Perez brought him in with a single. Abreu singled, but was thrown out trying to stretch it into a double. Perez ended up on third and scored on a wild pitch by Mark Hamburger.
Omaha put another deuce on the board in the eighth. Perez singled and went to third on Abreu’s double. Anthony Seratelli was hit by a pitch to load the bases and Falu came through with another single.
Jonathan Sanchez (1-1) got the win and Greg Reynolds (4-5) took the loss.
