Storm Chasers Top Nashville 6-1

Chris Dwyer (7-8) tossed seven innings of three-hit ball, striking out eight and walking just one in a 6-1 Omaha win over Nashville Friday night at Werner Park.

The Storm Chasers struck quickly as Jimmy Nelson (2-4) hit Brett Hayes with a pitch to lead off the second inning, Pedro Ciriaco tripled and Paulo Orlando singled.

Omaha added three more in the third. Christian Colon walked, Anthony Seratelli reached on a bunt single and Ben Broussard singled to load the bases. Max Ramirez singled in a run and Hayes grounded into a force out at second that allowed Seratelli to come home. Ciriaco also hit into a force out at second that Broussard scored on to make it 5-0.

Sean Halton led off the Sounds' fifth with his 10th home run of the year. Colon knocked his 10th in the seventh for a 6-1 Omaha lead.
