The RedHawks edged the Storm Chasers 4-3 Saturday night in Oklahoma City.
The RedHawks went up 1-0 in the first as Brandon Barnes singled and scored on Jimmy Paredes’ double. Scott Moore led off the second inning with his ninth home run of the year. Fernando Martinez then singled and would later score on third baseman Anthony Seratelli’s throwing error on a grounder hit by Angel Sanchez to make it 3-0.
The Storm Chasers struck quickly for two runs in the fourth on back-to-back homers by David Lough and Max Ramirez.
Oklahoma City got one back in the bottom of the fourth. Moore walked, took third on a Martinez single and came home on Brad Snyder’s sacrifice fly for a 4-2 lead.
Clint Robinson opened the Omaha sixth with a double to right. He took third on Lough’s grounder to second and scored when Ramirez singled, but that's as close as they could get.
Bud Norris (1-0) got the win and Mike Montgomery (3-4) suffered the loss.
