No Bueno: Storm Chasers Lose To New Orleans 5-2

Luke Montz hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth after the Storm Chasers had just tied the game, giving the Zephyrs a 5-2 win Sunday afternoon in New Orleans.

The Zephyrs took a 2-0 lead with runs in the third and fourth innings, the second run coming on a Mike Cervenak home run.

Omaha tied the game in the top of the eighth. After the first two batters were retired, Anthony Seratelli and Max Ramirez doubled for one run. After Chris Hatcher (1-0) replaced J.D. Martin on the mound, Kurt Mertins also doubled to score pinch runner Ryan Eigsti from second.

Francisley Bueno (1-3) came on to pitch for Ryan Verdugo in the home half of the eighth and got Gil Velazquez to ground out before Scott Cousins singled. Gaby Sanchez flew out, but Bueno walked Cervenak and Montz knocked his 10th homer of the season over the left field fence.
