The Storm Chasers scored single runs in the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings to beat New Orleans 5-3 Sunday afternoon at Werner Park.
Kevin Mattison singled home Chris Valaika in the third to give the Zephyrs a 1-0 lead in the third, but Omaha answered in the bottom of the inning as Paulo Orlando singled and scored on Irving Falu's double.
In the fourth, Johnny Giavotella doubled, took third on Anthony Seratelli's fly out to right and scored on a wild pitch by Sam Dyson (1-3) to give the Chasers a 2-1 lead.
Audy Ciriaco hit a two-run homer in the fifth to put New Orleans back on top 3-2, but back again came the Storm Chasers, who tied it in the home fifth. Quintin Berry walked and stole second and then Orlando walked. Falu sacrificed them to second and third and Berry came in on Christian Colon's ground out to short.
Brett Hayes hit his 17th home run of the year in the sixth to make it 4-3 and Giavotella's sacrifice fly plated Orlando in the seventh for the final tally.
Brian Sanches (10-2) went six innings, charged with three runs (two earned) on six hits. He fanned four and did not walk a batter.
