Mike Jacobs had three hits and drove in two runs and Cole Gillespie knocked a two-run, pinch-hit homer to lead Reno to a 4-2 win over the Storm Chasers Saturday night at Werner Park.
Derrick Robinson led off the third with a single and went to third on a Mitch Maier single. Irving Falu bunted and was thrown out at first but Robinson scored for a 1-0 Omaha lead.
The Aces took a 2-1 lead in the sixth. Ryan Budde reached on an error by shortstop Tony Abreu and took second on Adam Eaton’s base hit. Jake Elmore bunted the runners into scoring position and Jacobs singled them in.
Gillespie’s shot in the ninth made it 4-1. David Lough tripled and scored on Anthony Seratelli’s ground out in the bottom of the ninth.
Charles Brewer (8-6) gave up eight hits and one run in six innings, striking out four without walking anyone. Nathan Adcock (6-4) took the loss for Omaha, charged with two runs on seven hits in eight innings of work. He struck out eight and walked one.
