Jamie Nash broke the UNO career assists record and the Mavs ended the game on an 11-0 run to top Fort Wayne 60-50 Saturday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse.

Paige Frauendorfer had her fifth double-double of the season and second in a row with a season-high 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Mavs. Nash recorded seven assists to get to 475 for her career, one more than the previous record set by Jennifer Mitchell from 1998-2002.

IPFW's Amanda Hyde, the leading scorer in The Summit League entering the game, scored 20 points, but had just five in the second half.

The Mavericks (11-3, 3-1 Summit League) led 28-25 at halftime and came out in the second half on a 7-0 run to take a 35-25 lead. But the Mastodons rallied with a 19-5 run to take a 44-40 lead with 10:23 left.

IPFW's Erin Murphy hit two free throws with 4:14 left to put the Mastodons up 50-49, but those would be the last points of the game for IPFW (5-10, 1-2 Summit League). Casse Vaughn put back a layup after an offensive rebound for a 51-50 lead with 3:53 left and the Mavs never surrendered the lead.

Frauendorfer scored five straight points, three on free throws, to put the Mavs up 56-50 with 2:31 to play. UNO forced the Mastodons into three turnovers and 0-for-6 shooting in the final four minutes. The Mavericks went 4-of-4 from the free throw line in the final minute to ice the win.
