Kerah Nelson hit the game-winning layup with :0.7 left to give IUPUI a 45-43 win over the UNO women Saturday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse.

The Mavericks (16-8, 6-6 Summit League ) had tied the game at 43-43 on a 14-foot jumper by Paige Frauendorfer with :25 remaining.

The Jaguars (14-9, 7-3 Summit) called timeout with :18.9 to go. Dawn Luster then dribbled some time off the clock before working the ball to Katie Comello, who drew defenders and passed underneath the basket to Nelson, who spun to her left and flipped the winning basket off the glass.

The Mavs were unable to get a shot off after Jamie Nash launched the inbounds pass down court, and fell for just the second time at home in conference play this season.

Frauendorfer led all scorers with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. She also had eight rebounds. Nash had nine points and four assists. Taijhe Kelly blocked six shots and had seven rebounds.

IUPUI freshman center Nevena Markovic scored a career-high 14 points to spark the Jaguars off the bench. Nelson finished with eight points and 12 rebounds.
