UNO Pounds Alabama-Huntsville 8-0

Ryan Walters had two goals and an assist and Brock Montpetit assisted on four goals as Nebraska Omaha rolled over Alabama-Huntsville 8-0 Saturday night at the CenturyLink Center.

Leading 3-0 after two periods, the Mavericks (8-3-1) exploded for five goals in the third period against Chargers goalie Gregg Gruehl, who stopped five of his 32 shots in the period. UNO out-shot UAH 40-20.

Nick Seeler, Zahn Raubenheimer, Dominic Zombo, Johnnie Searfoss and Brent Gwidt scored goals for UNO, which has won six straight games. Mavericks goaltender Anthony Stolarz made 16 stops in the first period.

Alabama-Huntsville (2-11-1) never got more than eight shots on goal in any period. Zombo and Walters also had goals in Friday's 3-2 UNO win.
