Jordan Rideout scored 4:03 into overtime giving host Kansas City a 2-1 win over UNO Saturday afternoon.
Sylvester Yiadom played in a cross and Broc Cramer flicked it to Rideout, who scored with his head past UNO goalie Matt Grosey.
UMKC's David Sarabia broke the deadlock just before halftime at 42:27, converting a free kick from 22 yards out. Giovanni Giattino evened the game at 62:09. Giattino took a through ball from Logan Mendez down the middle of the field and finished for his second goal of the season.
UMKC finished with a 13-6 shot advantage and 8-2 edge in shots on goal. Giattino had three of the Mavs' six shots.
The Mavericks dropped to 4-9-1 and 2-2-1 in The Summit League, leaving them in third place in the conference standings with seven points. UMKC is 6-7-2 and 4-1 in The Summit League, good for a tie for first place.
