In the top of the 10th, UNO capitalized on four Leatherneck errors by scoring seven runs. Connor Messinger was hit by a pitch, advanced to second on Cole Gruber's sacrifice bunt and went to third on a Caleb Palensky single. Alex Mortensen then singled down the left field line and Keele singled up the middle, plating Taylor to make it 6-4. Splichal reached on a fielding error and Mortensen and Bass scored on a throwing error on the play to give the Mavs an 8-4 lead.

Buckley reached on another fielding error, which allowed Keele to cross the plate. Messinger reached on another error, which scored Splichal, and following a pitching change, Gruber added an RBI double down the left field line that plated Buckley to make it 11-4.
