The Omaha hockey team moved up one spot to 13 in the latest weekly poll issued by the website USCHO.com while it maintained its spot at 14th in the latest poll compiled by USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine.
This is the fourth straight week the Mavericks have been ranked 14th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll. The Mavs have been ranked either 13 or 14 in USCHO.com poll since debuting at No. 18 five weeks ago.
The Mavericks are coming off another road split, winning 6-5 and losing 2-1 at St. Cloud State last weekend. They are now 10-5-1 overall and 6-3-1 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, putting them in a tie with North Dakota for fifth place.
Boston College regained the top spot in both polls this week while last week's unanimous No. 1, New Hampshire, fell to second. Notre Dame, Minnesota and Miami round out the top five in both polls. Other WCHA teams ranked this week include North Dakota (8), Denver (10/11), St. Cloud State (17) and Minnesota State (20). The USCHO.com poll ranks the top 20 teams while the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll ranks the top 15.
