Nate Shipman scored the game's lone goal and Brandon Cloutier made three saves in a 1-0 Mastodon win over Nebraska Omaha Saturday night in Fort Wayne.

IPFW earned a corner kick in the 31st minute and after a shot by Jackson Tooke was blocked by a Maverick defender, Shipman jumped on the rebound and scored for a 1-0 lead.

The loss puts the Mavericks at 4-7-1 overall and 2-1-1 in Summit League play. The Mavs remain in third place in The Summit League standings with seven points, two behind second-place Kansas City.

IPFW improved to 1-12-1 overall and 1-2-1 in conference action, good for four points and fifth place in the conference.
