IPFW took UNO in four sets (25-18, 28-26, 19-25, 25-19) Sunday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse.
Three Mavericks finished with double-figure kill efforts, led by 14 kills on .400 hitting from Megan Schmale, who added a match-best eight blocks.
Diane Banderas hit .650 with a career-high 13 kills and no errors and chipped in three blocks. Kelley Wollak notched 11 kills and 13 digs for a double-double and Bailey Baxter had a double-double of her own with 22 assists and 14 digs.
Michaela Schimmer chipped in 16 assists, seven kills, seven digs and three blocks. Kristy Wieser and Amy Taylor had four blocks apiece.
Fort Wayne was led by a double-double from Emily Spencer, who had 17 kills and 16 digs for the day. Hailie Ripley added 14 kills on .619 hitting and Madison Spence finished with 43 assists and seven digs. Jen Milligan led the Mastodons with 17 digs and Sarah Heckman posted four blocks.
As a team, Omaha out-blocked Fort Wayne 11-7, marking the Mavericks' seventh double-figure team blocks total of the season. UNO also out-hit IPFW .203 to .184.
The Mavericks are 6-19 (1-9 Summit League) while the Mastodons improved to 14-13 (6-5 Summit League).
