Quinnipiac spotted the Mavericks an early lead but came back to win 3-1 Sunday afternoon in Hamden, Connecticut for a sweep of their weekend series.
UNO took advantage of an early power play to take a 1-0 lead. Ryan Walters fired a shot from the top of the face-off circle that beat goalie Eric Hartzell for his team-leading 12th goal of the year.
The Bobcats answered less than three minutes later when Clay Harvey got free in front of the UNO net and beat John Faulkner with a shot just under the crossbar.
Quinnipiac took the lead on a power play later in the period. Connor Jones slipped a shot past Faulkner just inside the far post at 15:59. The Bobcats stretched their lead to 3-1 early in the second period. On their fourth power play of the game, Ben Arnt knocked in the rebound of a shot by Matthew Peca for his fourth of the season.
The loss dropped the Mavericks to 11-8-1 while Quinnipiac stretched its nation-best unbeaten streak to 12 games (11-0-1) and improved to 14-3-2.
