Creighton sharpshooter Ethan Wragge took fifth place at the State Farm College 3-Point Championships on Thursday night at Moody Coliseum on the campus of SMU in Dallas, Texas.
Wragge made 13-of-25 shots, in addition to four "money balls" that counted double, for a first round score of 17. Surprisingly, it wasn't enough to advance to the semifinals against a field of eight of the nation's best senior marksmen.
Hooper advanced to the semifinals after scoring 14 points in the opening round. In the semis, the Alliance native totaled 13 points, but failed to advance to the finals. Hooper finished fourth overall.
Louisville's Shoni Schimmel won the women's event, defeating Duke's Tricia Liston 22-16 in the final.
