Kevin Lamb's single capped a two-run ninth inning helping Creighton to a 4-3 win Thursday afternoon at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.

Reagan Fowler opened the inning with a single and moved into scoring position on Brennan Murphy's bunt single. Both Fowler and Murphy would advance on a sac bunt by Michael Blatchford. Tommy Clouthier was called on to pinch-hit and hit a sacrifice fly scoring Fowler to tie the game at 3-3. Lamb fell behind 0-2 before roping a single to center off Erik Shannahan (2-1) as Murphy's head-first slide narrowly beat the throw from Tate Matheny.

The walk-off win made a winner of Mark Winkelman (6-0), who had entered with two outs in the ninth in relief of Bryan Sova.

The Bluejays (29-15, 12-7 MVC) got out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a lead-off single by Brad McKewon, productive outs from Federico Castagnini and Jake Peter and an RBI double by Alex Staehely.

CU starter Tommy Strunc gave up back-to-back walks in the sixth. Sova came on with runners at first and second and was greeted with a sacrifice bunt, sacrifice fly and a single to give the Bears a 2-1 lead.

The Bluejays bounced right back in the home sixth to tie the game as McKewon laced a one-out double and Peter bounced a single into center.

MSU (29-27, 11-8 MVC) got a go-ahead single from pinch-hitter Conor Smith in the ninth inning to score Kennen Maddox to make it a 3-2 game.
