Emily Goldstein's goal in the 92nd minute lifted Iowa State to a 1-0 overtime win at Creighton Sunday afternoon in the Bluejays' 2012 regular-season opener.
Creighton (0-1) had its five-match unbeaten streak (3-0-2) in season-openers snapped. Iowa State improved to 2-0 after a weekend sweep in Omaha that included a 4-0 win over UNO Friday night.
Goldstein's score came as she collected a deflected ball near the top of the box and unleashed a left-footed blast into the net. Goldstein, a junior, had a goal and an assist on Friday and now owns four career game-winning scores.
Iowa State out-shot the hosts 24-14, but just 12-9 once Creighton played with the wind at their backs for the final 46:31. CU keeper Katie Jo Swanson had nine saves while ISU goalie Maddie Jobe had six saves for her first complete-game shutout of the young season.
