ANTHEM, Ariz. -- The Creighton men finished second in their dual meet with North Dakota on Tuesday. The Fighting Sioux edged out the Jays 313-328, in a dual that took place at the par 72, 6,845 yard Quintero Golf and Country Club.
North Dakota’s Nick Schaefer finished first with a 148. Junior Daniel McKernan and senior John Rasmussen led the Jays. They finished tied for fourth with a 158.
Sophomore Johnny Spellerberg finished seventh with a 163. Junior Trey Turley finished tied for eighth with a 166. Freshman Steffen Lake finished 11th shooting a 173.
Freshman Jackson Stimple (t-8th, 166) and senior Ben Lowman (10th, 170) competed in the event as individuals.
The Jays hit the links again at the Jackrabbit Invitational on March 11-12 in Primm, Nev.
