Jack Hoffman's 69-yeard touchdown run in Nebraska's spring game won the ESPN ESPY Award Wednesday night in Los Angeles as the best sports moment of the past year.
Three others nominated for the award were Andy Murray for his Wimbledon performance in 2012, Chuck Pagano for returning to coach the Colts following his battle with leukemia and U.S. soccer player Alex Morgan for her game winning goal in the Olympic semifinals.
Hoffman is 7 years old and battling brain cancer. Video of his touchdown went viral. Since then he has met President Obama, received his own Husker trading card and attended his first College World Series game.
