Six former Cornhuskers are among those in the latest class selected for the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame.
Running back Ahman Green, defensive ends Steve Manstedt and Bill Webber, center Josh Heskew, place kicker Dale Klein and corner back and punt returner DeJuan Groce will be inducted September 21st.
Joining them will be Mitch Johnson and Jim Irwin. Johnson was a defensive back and punt returner at the University of Nebraska at Kearney from in 1973 to 1976. Irwin was a receiver at the school, then called Kearney State College, from 1960 to 1963.
The hall will also recognize Frank Solich, head coach at Nebraska from 1998 to 2003.
