Nebraska will make five appearances on ESPN networks as the Big Ten Conference announced its 2013-14 schedule Wednesday afternoon.

Nebraska’s conference slate is highlighted by the Big Ten home opener against NCAA runner-up Michigan on Thursday, January 9th in a game to be carried on either ESPN or ESPN2.

Nebraska will also make four appearances on ESPNU during Big Ten action, taking on Penn State (January 23rd in State College, February 20th in Lincoln) and Northwestern (February 8th in Evanston, March 1st in Lincoln).

Nebraska’s February 23rd game against Purdue is one of three games under consideration for a CBS national telecast that afternoon, but a final determination on that will not be made until early February.

The Husker game at Cincinnati on Saturday, December 28th, will be carried nationally at 3 p.m. on ESPN2. Cincinnati leads the all-time series 3-0 with this game being the first between the schools since the 1996-97 season and the first on-campus game between the programs since 1960.

It's the first of a home-and-home series with the Bearcats, who will play in Lincoln during the 2014-15 season.
