Chance Sinclair blanked The Citadel on four hits through seven innings while the Husker offense scored four unearned runs for a 4-0 win Sunday afternoon to salvage the final game of the weekend series in Charleston, South Carolina.

Sinclair (2-0) was dominant, facing only two batters over the 21 minimum in his seven innings of work. He fanned five, throwing 68 of his 96 pitches for strikes and did not issue a walk. Bob Greco and Josh Roeder each pitched a scoreless inning in relief.

The Citadel committed four errors over two innings. With one out in the second, Tanner Lubach singled and later took third on a throwing miscue by first baseman Calvin Orth. Blake Headley then singled home Lubach for a 1-0 lead.

The Bulldogs misplayed three infield grounders that resulted in three more unearned runs in the third, all scoring with two outs. Austin Darby reached on an error by second baseman Mason Davis, stole second and later scored on Michael Pritchard's single. Pat Kelly and Lubach reached on consecutive errors by shortstop Johnathan Stokes to load the bases. Bryce Only knocked in two more runs with a base hit off Kevin Connell (0-2).
