Since Friday, the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office has sold half of its ticket allotment for the Big Ten Championship game in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday. Some fans say they're holding out for a trip to the Rose Bowl instead.
As of Monday, 7,400 of the 15,000 of the $80 tickets had been purchased.
Fans say they are finding good deals on hotel rooms close to Lucas Oil Field.
AAA-Nebraska is having some success with its travel packages. As of Monday afternoon, 110 of 160 seats had been sold on a charter flight. The seats are $495.
AAA also added a second motor coach bus and is taking reservations.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:17 p.m. Omaha time.
Tickets are $80 each and Nebraska has received an allotment of 15,000 for the game. Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets for the game through Nebraska’s official allotment in order to sit in the Nebraska section at Lucas Oil Stadium. All tickets for the Big Ten Championship Game are Print-at-Home tickets.
Big Ten Championship Game tickets will be sold at Huskers.com through the weekend. Beginning on Monday morning, tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-8-BIG RED. Ticket office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The Nebraska Athletic Department will also be hosting a Husker Huddle pregame event at the Indiana Convention Center from 4-7 p.m. ET prior to the game. The convention center is adjacent to Lucas Oil Stadium and passes for the Husker Huddle are $15 each. Former NU greats Tommie Frazier and Kris Brown will be part of the event and fans in attendance will also hear from Athletic Director Tom Osborne and Chancellor Harvey Perlman.
